BellAndi Sniff & Play“Play area
and Sensory Experiences for Dogs"

Opened the first and uniqe sensory canine  enrichment playground for dogs in Italy in Tarvisio!
Perchè BelAndi?

why BellAndi??

I realized a big dream: The Bellandi Sniff & Play Enrichment Studio. I was able to create a little world for dogs where they can actually be dogs, act like dogs without any consequences or restrictions. This little world is so rare that at the moment BellAndi is the first and only in Italy, even in neighboring countries there is no similar one.

What does canine enrichment mean? Why is it special and why is it different from a normal playground or dog run area?

Canine enrichment consists of creating "tasks" to allow animals to experience their natural behaviors, thus improving their well-being. Our dogs love exploring the world around them, searching, digging, hunting and being happy to be able to catch their own "prey". These are innate instincts that may not always manifest in everyday life and this can cause behavioral problems. But, if they can express themselves freely like at BellAndi, this will improve the quality of their life, make them happy, keep them mentally active, tire them out and relax them and free them from many stresses, making them more confident in our world.

Divertimento dei cani

Not all dogs enjoy the company of other dogs and sharing play, being smelled or called to play. At BellAndi every dog can play independently and enjoy all the advantages of the playground. They spend their time safely and under professional supervision. After 45 minutes of play, both the dog and the owner return home enriched by a positive experience. During the session, I carefully observe the behavior of the canine guests, help them if necessary since the game is only fun as long as it is fun for them. Those who have difficulties will be supported and at the end of the session the owners will receive a short feedback on my observations, suggestions and advice on how to help their furry friends in everyday life.

About Me

About ME

My name is Andrea Plózer. I am a dog trainer and dog groomer, I carry out volunteer work at the shelter and I am a member of ENPA.

The company of dogs has been with me since childhood, our family has always had a dog. Then, once I flew from the family nest, it was not possible for a long time to have my own dog, but in 2019 my life circumstances made it possible to adopt my own dog.

In the spring of 2019 we adopted Bella - a 4 year old Amstaff breed dog - from a shelter in Hungary. She was a rescued dog, with an already formed personality, she carried with her physical and psychological wounds. We had to face many challenges to make life together happy for everyone. Pulling on the leash, hallucinations, constant escape attempts and all the cats in the world were our enemies. Thanks to force free dogtraining, we quickly managed to gain his trust and little by little we resolved every difficulty together without force or violence. Thanks to her I became a dog trainer, I fell in love with active training and dog care.

I learned a lot about dogs in general, about their behavioral problems, but I focused my knowledge on two specializations. One is Cooperative Care, that is, safe maintenance, without violence and constraint, at home, at the vet and in the grooming, and the enrichment of the environment with which I can do a lot for their general well-being. My wish and plan for the future is to open a stress-free, dog-friendly dog grooming saloon, in the meantime I look forward to seeing you with great love at the BellAndi Sniff & Play Enrichment Studio.

Canine Enrichment

Canine enrichment, sensory enrichment for dogs. Because a dog wants to live like a dog!

Originally this method was studied and developed to improve the living conditions of animals kept in captivity at zoos who had a monotonous, boring and lack of well-being life. Enrichment has spread into several areas of animal husbandry, including dog training. Our four-legged friends have different natural behaviors: such as digging, searching, investigating, destroying, discovering/exploring, hunting, etc. Thanks to domestication, dogs have less opportunities to express these behaviors, which can be very frustrating for many of them and can lead to behavioral problems. Canine Sensorial enrichment is today a special variant of training, often also used in dog behavior therapy. Benefits include: - increase in general well-being, - reduces stress and anxiety, - develops resilience, problem-solving skills in dogs, - helps improve self-confidence and adaptation skills, - develops socialization, - prevents behavioral problems (destructive or stereotyped behaviors), - improves olfactory skills, - strengthens the bond with the owner... etc.

Cooperative Care

cooperative care, cure e igene dei cani, addestramento collaborativo, curacane consentemente , cura del cane senza paura, cura del cane senza stress

Cooperative Care for Dogs is an approach to dog care that relies on collaboration and communication between the dog owner and the dog. This method aims to foster a relationship of trust and mutual respect between the owner and the dog, allowing the dog to actively participate in its care and well-being. Cooperative Care for dogs can include positive training, interactive activities and educational games that allow the dog to be involved in the care and learning process. This approach can help improve the emotional and physical well-being of the dog, promoting a stronger and more harmonious relationship between owner and animal. Where Cooperative Care is used which is a special training for dogs, - veterinary visits or medical training - grooming can also experience care and grooming experiences peacefully, together, without fear and stress. -General daily care Why is it worth teaching our pet? As a preventive measure for those who have not yet had negative experiences, because this way it is easier and faster to teach, in real situations such as at the vet, the dog will react more calmly because he has already seen, felt and experienced that it is not threatening to him. For those less fortunate who already have negative experiences, this is an opportunity to reevaluate the past experience, reinterpret it, and learn that it is not as unpleasant as they thought before. Who can it be taught to? To dogs of all ages and breeds, regardless of previous experience. For puppies, it is particularly recommended as a supplement to socialization tasks. Tasks that can be learned with cooperative care learned without claiming completeness: - dog bath, - hair care (cut, grooming), - care / put drops properly of the eyes and ears, - preparation for the veterinary visit, - preparation for the visit, grooming treatment, - calm preparation for vaccinations, - preparation for blood sampling without fear, - collaborative nail care, - brush your teeth properly - wear and wear the Elizabethan collar/funnel for dogs - examine the dog's body... etc The question may arise, “Am I capable of teaching this”? Yes, anyone can do it, without any specific training or experience as a dog trainer. How much training is needed for this? Dogs love to exercise multiple times, for short periods (5-10 minutes), and can be trained very effectively this way!
